Happy Thanksgiving, I guess...

Hello all,

It's Thanksgiving, for those of you who celebrate, I hope you have a good one and that you and your families are safe. I, personally, don't celebrate it. My mother is British and my father is of Native American descent so celebrating the day always seemed a little wrong growing up. My parents are now divorced and no one liked the holiday anyway, so I spend the day drinking beer and eating pizza.

What's been going on?

As you may or (more likely) may not know, I lost my job of 9 years back when COVID started. In August, I found a new job. It's a bit different as I'm working 3rd shift, but it's easy and the pay is much better so I came out ahead in the long run.

The only bad thing is, I haven't been able to focus on NaNoWriMo as much I would have liked. The goal is to get 50,000 words in a month. I'll be lucky if I get half that.

Thankfully, it's more of a personal challenge and I don't have any publisher's deadlines to meet. So, I'm really just being hard on myself for no reason. Story of my life.

In other news...

I had been planning on unveiling this later, but I have been working on combining all of The Collins Trilogy into one volume. This version will contain all 3 books, newly edited with some new material including a never-before-released short story (It's a hot one and no fade to black). It will also have exclusive illustrations by the great artist Rafi de Sousa. I'm currently planning out what scenes I want to be illustrated and how I want them to look, but I plan on starting to commission them in the new year. Here's hoping I'll be able to have the completed work before the end of 2021.

On the plus side, I've gone ahead and commissioned the cover from Rafi and of course, she did a fantastic job. I was going to make a big announcement earlier, but life got in the way. But today seems like a good day to unveil the cover so....

As always, Rafi is amazing and leaves me speechless.

If you're looking for gift ideas for this upcoming holiday season or maybe just wanting to treat yourself, my wife has started an Etsy shop. You can find it here:

Here's to a uneventful 2024

Hello all. I hope everyone had a good holiday. My wife and I had a pretty rough few weeks. For starters we lost our cat, Leo, right before Christmas. He was my wife's emotional support animal and
