363 Days Until Next Halloween

Updated: Nov 3, 2021

Hello all!

I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted anything on here. Life has been a little hectic.

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who has purchased "Blackpoint" and left a review. As of when I'm posting this, I have 53 ratings on Amazon and it's sitting at 4.5 stars. I was so nervous about releasing it and I'm so glad it has been so well received. Thank you.

So what's been going on?

My wife and I just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary (we've been together for 15 years total). We took a trip to Sleepy Hollow, NY and had a really great time. We both love Halloween and the entire town goes all out for it. Unlike our current hometown that barely acknowledges it. One thing is for sure, it definitely confirmed our desires to move up north asap.

Cue the photo dump of our trip:

The trip has also inspired a new novel idea in me. Looks like I'll be switching genres again as this one will be a ghost story that might just so happen to feature a well known headless horseman. It's still in early development, so I can't say too much on it. But I do hope to have it finished and released in time for spooky season 2022!

Can't wait until next fall for a new novel? Don't worry, I can't either. I am also in the process of plotting out a possible romance novel that I would like to publish in the Spring/Summer of next year. Again, I don't want to get too much into it, but I will say that it takes place in another favorite city of mine, New Orleans, and features a character from my first novel, "Crutches".

Granted, "Crutches" was not a lesfic novel (I had not quite learned about the amazing world of lesfic when I was writing it). But there is a brief mention of a character who is a lesbian and this will focus on her. I'll post more about it when I get further into it.

I have decided not to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. Thanksgiving through Christmas is a very busy time of year at my normal job, so I decided to take the last few weeks of calm to focus on my mental health before the crazy season hits. I really need to find a work from home gig.

Also, I don't know if this is your thing, but I have a gaming channel on YouTube under the name Kate Shark. I play all kinds of games, and every October I do a series called Horrorween. I spend the entire month of October playing nothing but scary games. If watching grown adults scream like children entertains you, then you might want to check it out:

Thank you, everyone, for your support. I will post again with more details on upcoming novels as soon as I am able.

Here's to a uneventful 2024

Hello all. I hope everyone had a good holiday. My wife and I had a pretty rough few weeks. For starters we lost our cat, Leo, right before Christmas. He was my wife's emotional support animal and
