I was born in South Bend, Indiana and raised in the foothills of North Carolina.  I attended Appalachian State University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Sociology.

I live in the foothills of North Carolina with my wife, Lindsey and our collection of pets.
